چکیده
Skin wound healing is time-consuming and frequently accompanied by bacterial infections the development of scars. The rise antibiotic-resistant strains has sparked a growing interest in naturally occurring bioactive substances, like curcumin, that possess wound-healing capabilities. Silver natural antimicrobial agent, finds extensive use specialized dressings. nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized using an eco-friendly approach, employing curcumin. prepared have been characterized TEM, DLS, zeta potential. AgNPs loaded on sodium alginate-co-gum arabic hydrogel. Two hydrogel samples (with without AgNPs) applied for healing. developed silver created exhibited effective action against both types bacteria, namely Gram-negative Gram-positive. Alg-co-AG-AgNPs demonstrated faster rates compared to control sample. novel dressings curcumin–silver nanoparticle-incorporated hydrogels (Alg-co-AG-AgNPs) exceptional biocompatibility potential serve as dressing possesses antibacterial properties reduces scarring.

Alginate Hydrogels Coated with Chitosan for Wound Dressing
In this work, a coating of chitosan onto alginate hydrogels was realized using the water-soluble hydrochloride form of chitosan (CH-Cl), with the dual purpose of imparting antibacterial activity and delaying the release of hydrophilic molecules from the alginate matrix. Alginate hydrogels with different calcium contents were prepared by the internal setting method and coated by immersion in a C...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of Crosslinked Sodium Alginate/Gelatin Hydrogels for Wound Dressing
Sodium alginate (SA) and gelatine (G) based hydrogels for biomedical applications, such as wound dressing, were crosslinked by calcium chloride (CaCl2) or glutaraldehyde (GTA) in order to overcome their exudates solubility. Swelling behaviour of prepared hydrogels in phosphate buffered saline with different pH value at 37 ° C was compared. It was proved that the crosslinking agent concentration...
متن کاملPVA–clay nanocomposite hydrogels for wound dressing
Polymer gels as soft biomaterials have found diverse applications in biomedical field, e.g. in management and care of wound as wound dressing. The recent researches on nanocomposite materials have shown that some properties of polymers and gels significantly improve by adding organoclay into polymeric matrix. In this work, in order to obtain wound dressing with better properties, nanocomposite ...
متن کاملDevelopment and Characterization of Novel Medicated Hydrogels for Wound Dressing
□ The medicated hydrogels were prepared aseptically under moist heat treatment using polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), sodium-carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), polyethyleneglycol (PEG), agar, glycerin and/or boric acid (BA) and designated as PVP-CMC and PVP-CMC-BA. The aim of this study was to develop some medicinal values-based hydrogels. BA was used to build up the medicinal values (antiseptic and anti...
